Whatever it is that makes ski holidays special for you, the resorts of Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets, St Jean d’Aulps and the surrounding areas in the Portes du Soleil really do have something for everyone. Morzine’s busy town centre is full of restaurants, night clubs and bars but if you prefer a more peaceful option, there are apartment and chalet options both on the outskirts of town and even in more remote, quieter neighbourhoods around resort.
Plus who can deny the Portes du Soleil ski area is truly one of the best overall inter linked ski areas in the world, encompassing 14 resorts spanning two countries, France and Switzerland. In addition to 650 km of piste runs there is amazing off piste routes where you can hire a guide, and there are snowparks dotted throughout the Portes du Soleil including the Burton sponsored “Stash” and possibly one of the best half pipes in France.
Other activities include:
- Snow shoeing
- Horse and cart rides
- Ice diving

- Snow mobile rides
- Sledging
