Morzine gets ready to open

So this week sees the arrival of all the seasonaires, bar tenders, chalet hosts and drivers. The centre of town is beginning to get that oh so familiar buzz back that comes with every snow fall.

The supermarkets are filling up, hotels and chalets are putting those finishing touches to their renovations, and the shop-keepers and unpacking boxes upon boxes of new 2015 stock for their shelves and window displays.

As we drive round resort, we see chalets all lit up with staff enjoying their first introduction to the season, some sampling wine, some practicing those all important deserts. The Tourist Info Center has put up their twinkling Christmas lights, the Ice Rink is up and the trees are lit up with thousands of LEDs.

This time of year is so exciting, everybody is bustling about with their last minute jobs before all you lovely people descend on Morzine for its opening Christmas weekend, and there isn’t a better weekend to be coming!
