There are a few spaces in front of the building for visitors (you may not leave your car there all week, please use the space in the garage).

The private covered parking space is just behind the large garage door in the parking lot, on entering it is immediately on the left. You’ll find the remote control for the garage door on the dining table in the apartment, so on arrival day park outside and retrieve the remote control and return to park your car.

There is also a button on the inside of the garage door that will open the door.

The maximum height of the garage is 2 metres.

Please leave the remote on the dining room table when you check out – lost remote/key charge €200

The cave (for storing ski equipment) is located on the same floor as the apartment, the apartment key will open the door, there is also boot warmers and benches for all convenience.

Exit the apartment and immediately turn left to go through the door marked “Caves”. The second door on the right is for “Apt 2” and is signed.

Bike Storage:

There are wall anchored bike lock rings in the garage parking space that you can securely lock your bikes to.

There are boot warmers located in the cave. In the winter months the boot warmers should already be plugged in and turned on, if not they are easy to plug in to the socket just above the machine.

Once the boots are on the rack, use the dial on the left to turn it to the marker point (arrow) which should give ample warm air to dry boots and it will shut off automatically.  Nothing else needs to be done.

On leaving the building turn right towards Morzine Centre, go 500 metres down the road and take the road just behind Hotel Igloo, the bins are located on the right – There are three types of bin:

general waste
glass
cartons, plastic, paper + cans.

On departure: un-opened food / drink may be left for the cleaners. Oils, salt & pepper may be left for the next guests. 

Please note: everything else must be disposed of. Any other rubbish / recycling left in the property on departure may result in additional charges / partial loss of security deposit. 

Both French and UK channels are available on the TV.

When on the home screen select the blue TV icon using the cursor buttons in the middle of the remote.

Then press the centre button to bring up the TV menu, press the down arrow to toggle between Digital and Satellite – Digital will load all of the French Channels, Satellite will load all the UK channels.

If you press the down button again you can access the EPG channel menu, or simply press the ‘Guide’ button on the remote at any time.

The TV has access to Netflix, Disney +, Prime and Apple TV, you can sign in with your own account details – please remember to sign out when you leave.

BBC iplayer, ITV X, NowTV, Channel4 are not available outside of the UK

There is underfloor heating throughout the apartment and central heating control unit is on the wall by the apartment door. The bedrooms also their own control units so they can be a different temperature to the rest of the apartment.

The temperature can be adjusted by selecting upper or lower button to amend the temperature. Once the ideal temperature is showing on the display, this can be locked in by selecting the middle button. The heating isn’t programmed or on a timer.

There is a simple control unit at the bottom of the towel radiator

Do not put clothes, gloves or anything other than towels on the units as they can damage the finish.

Hot water is provided from a central boiler in the building.

Be aware if showers are being used at the same time or long showers are taken it may take time to re-heat.

To turn the mains power back on, find the electricity cupboard which is next to the kitchen units. Push large grey switch up to the I position and not the 0 position (positioned next to the green box at the bottom)

Then check that every RCD is up, they are the individual fuses on the left of every row of other fuses. Then check all other fuses are up.

Power cuts are common in French mountain properties and the power input into every property is limited.

Sometimes the power may blow if you are using too many electrical items at the same time such as; kettle, oven, hob, hot tub, towel rails, washing machines, tumble dryer etc. If this happens in particular when cooking, try switching off some of these units until you have finished cooking.

If you have pressed the main trip switch back on but still have no power then, find out if your neighbours have power or not before contacting the in resort WhatsApp / SMS number.

Fill the water tank at the rear of the machine, press the cup button to turn the machine on. Lift the lever on the top and drop in a coffee pod with the foil facing towards you, place a cup under the spout and wait for the flashing lights to stop. Once the machine is ready press the small cup icon for an espresso sized cup or the larger cup icon for a longer coffee. See the two videos for instructions on the coffee machine and the attached milk frother.

The hob is an induction and therefore needs the pan to be on the heating zone before pressing the controls.
Using the touch button controls on the hob surface:
Press the power on button. Select the desired heating zone by pressing on the corresponding square.
Press on the plus or minus signs to select the heat level, select the heating zone again to confirm that choice.
You can change the temperature between heating zones by selecting the zone, choosing your temperature and selecting the zone again to confirm.
You can boost to bring to a boil fast by selecting the zone and then pressing the ‘b’ icon.

Turn off when not in use, remember the heating zones will still be hot for a while.

The dial on the left selects the oven function, the dial on the right selects the temperature.

Please ensure the oven and trays etc are clean before you leave.

There is a large full size fridge and freezer in the apartment. The total capacity is 270 litres with the freezer section being 70 litres.

The kitchen has a small under-counter wine fridge, the ideal temperatures are:

Red wine : Between 15 et 18°C
Dry white wine : Between 8 et 12°C
Sweet or dessert white wine : Between 6 et 8°C
Rosé wine : between 8 et 10°C
Champagne and sparkling wine : Between 6 et 10°C

There is a washing machine with integrated dryer in the cave.

It is advised not to use it if also using the oven, hob, kettle etc. as in some properties having too many electrical items on at the same time can cause the power to trip.

Underneath the hob there is a hidden drawer concealed within the main drawer.

The hot tub technician will have set everything up for optimal use, therefore no other settings need to be adjusted other than the temperature, jets and lights. Please don’t change anything else on the control panel.

On this model the temperature buttons are on the right hand side, these are the arrows up and down with the lights button in the middle, on the right hand side you’ll find the jet buttons at the top and bottom.

If you notice any issues with the hot tub please report them by SMS or Whatsapp to the in-resort contact number during normal daytime hours.

Please use the hot tub towels provided and NOT the bathroom towels which can get damaged by the hot tub chemicals.

The electric BBQ is always stored in the cave.

There is a parasol that is stored in the cave, it fits into the centre of the patio table, please ensure it is always returned to the cave when not in use to avoid weather damage.

It is your responsibility to make sure the sliding glass door onto the terrace and all the windows are closed and locked when you are not in the property and at the end of your stay.

No smoking on balconies / terrace.

Remove all rubbish / cigarette butts from outside the building on departure.

The living area has a large sliding patio door and an electric shutter on the exterior side. There is a remote control to operate the shutters should you require.

There is one cot and one highchair usually stored in the apartment’s private cave. If more are needed it is essential to reserve them in advance.

Free ski buses Winter

Your nearest bus stop is just a few meters away from the entrance to the building complex.

At the bottom of the driveway cross over the road and walk down the road (towards town) for approx 20 meters. You will find the bus stop on your left. It’s a metal pole with a wooden sign attached to it. You should be opposite the “Swiss Life” insurance office

Bus stop name = La Combe Humbert

Bus route = ligne U

This route takes you to Super Morzine, town centre, Pleney and runs a circular route. So on return you will disembark at the same bus stop.

If you wish to ski in Avoriaz via Prodains take a bus as described on the Linge U, disembark at bus stop ‘Office du Tourisme’ and take a bus on the Ligne A.

Or you can walk on foot to the Pleney/ town center, at the bottom of the driveway cross over the road and follow the pavement straight on down the road
