We strongly advise to use the free parking on Route de la Plagne which is opposite the Nantague and take the free bus to the Carlina building. There is also parking on the street outside of the apartment building but is subject to available spaces and can be full in the peak weeks.
One allocated parking space is available on level -2 and it has an electric car charging point, this is in the underground garage accessed at the side of the building – however the garage width is very restrictive. The main entrance into this communal parking and the turns needed to go down to level -2 are extremely tight for a small car, and unsuitable for medium & large cars.

The cave for storing all ski equipment and bikes is located on floor minus 2. Take the elevator down to the basement and go through the door marked “Caves”, keep going, turn left and the cave door for apartment 104 is at the very end.
The apartment key also opens the cave door, there is a key box next to the cave door with a second key in it should it be needed. Please ensure all keys are returned to the key boxes and not taken off the property.
You will find boot warmers, a ski rack and a bike wall hook inside the cave.
There are heated boot warmers located in the cave where you can store all your ski equipment.
In the winter months the boot warmers should already be plugged in and turned on, if not it is easy to plug in to the socket next to the machine and check the red and green switches on the side are in the on position.
The warmer is on a timer plug which is set to come on in the early evening to do some initial drying and then again in the morning so the boots are warm. Please do not remove the timer or alter the settings in any way.
If you have any issues please SMS or WhatsApp the in-resort contact number.
There is a secure private cave that can comfortably fit 2 MTB bikes. In the basement of the building find floor level -2, go through the door marked “Caves”, keep going, turn left and the cave door for apartment 104 is at the very end.
Then in the private parking space on the -2 level of the communal garage there are 6 wall mounted bike hooks with anchor points that bikes can be padlocked to. If you are renting bikes for your MTB holiday then there is also the option of two bike rental shops within meters of the building, one of which rents Santa Cruz bikes.
Please only access the bike locks and cave via the underground parking and not by taking them through the building as it is strictly forbidden.
On leaving the building turn left and keep walking until you reach the traffic lights in front of the building “Le Schuss”. Take the road on the right of the traffic lights called Taille de Mas du Grand Hôtel, the bins are located just on the right – There are three types of bin:
general waste
glass
cartons, plastic, paper + cans.
On departure: un-opened food / drink may be left for the cleaners. Oils, salt & pepper may be left for the next guests.
Please note: everything else must be disposed of. Any other rubbish / recycling left in the property on departure may result in additional charges / partial loss of security deposit.
The Home button (house icon) – will always take you back to the main menu on the TV where you can find all of the apps and menus.
Use the circle on the remote to navigate through the icons, press the button in the centre of the wheel to select the app you wish to load.
To access UK satellite channels do the following:
Select – Live TV satellite

Pressing and holding this bar up or down will fast scan through the channels.
To access the channel menus as an ‘EPG’ press this bar in the centre and hold for a few seconds then press again briefly.
Pressing the button in the centre of the circle will always select the desired channel.
You can sign in to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney +, Apple TV, Youtube
Don’t forget to sign out at the end of your stay!
BBC iplayer, ITV X, NowTV, Channel4 are not available outside of the UK
There is a soundbar underneath the TV which has it’s own remote control.
The TVs in the bedroom have the SMART apps available only.
There is a central thermostat in the dining area which controls the underfloor heating for the whole apartment, there is not individual heating in the rooms.
Pressing “Mode” will turn the unit on and off and toggle through the icons on the top of the display – which are
SUN – daytime setting, heating is at a higher temperature
MOON – night time setting, heating is on a cooler temperature
SNOWFLAKE – absence setting, a frost mode to ensure the property doesn’t go too cold when vacated
Pressing the + and – buttons will raise or lower the temperature in each of these modes.
Full length towel radiators are in each bathroom, they have a simple control unit to adjust the temperature up and down or boost for an hour if needed. No other settings need to be used. If the control panel is not lighting up the radiator could have been switched off at it’s main switch which is at the rear of the unit and at the bottom of it.
Do not put clothes, gloves or anything other than towels on the units as they can damage the finish.
Hot water is provided from a central boiler in the building.
If all showers are being used at the same time or long showers are taken and hot water is used up then you may have to wait 30 minutes for the tanks to reheat.
To turn the mains power back on, find the electricity cupboard next to the bunk room door. Push the large grey switch up to the I position and not the 0 position, this is on the box next to the green box.
Then check that every RCD is up, they are the individual fuses on the left of every row of other fuses. Then check all other fuses are up.
Power cuts are common in French mountain properties and the power input into every property is limited.
Sometimes the power may blow if you are using too many electrical items at the same time such as; kettle, oven, hob, hot tub, towel rails, washing machines, tumble dryer etc. If this happens in particular when cooking, try switching off some of these units until you have finished cooking.
If you have pressed the main trip switch back on but still have no power then, find out if your neighbours have power or not before contacting the in resort WhatsApp / SMS number.
Fill the water tank at the rear of the machine, press the cup button to turn the machine on. Lift the lever on the top and drop in a coffee pod with the foil facing towards you, place a cup under the spout and wait for the flashing lights to stop. Once the machine is ready press the small cup icon for an espresso sized cup or the larger cup icon for a longer coffee. See the two videos for instructions on the coffee machine and the attached milk frother.
The hob is an induction and therefore needs the pan to be on the heating zone before pressing the controls.
Using the touch button controls on the hob surface:
Press the power on button. Select the desired heating zone by pressing on the small cross indicating that zone.
Press on the bar icon to select the heat level, Select the heating zone again to confirm that choice.
You can change the temperature between heating zones by selecting the zone, using the bar and selecting again to confirm.
You can boost to bring to a boil fast by selecting the zone and then the ‘boost’ icon.
Turn off when not in use, remember the heating zones will still be hot for a while.
The dial on the left selects the oven function, the dial on the right selects the temperature.
Please ensure the oven and trays etc are clean before you leave.
There is a large full size fridge and freezer in the apartment. The total capacity is 270 litres with the freezer section being 70 litres.
The raclette machine is normally stored in the kitchen wall cupboard on the left. Please ensure it is always fully cleaned and all the pieces are kept together.
The fondue set is normally stored in the glass fronted unit near the TV in the living area. Please also ensure it is left clean and all pieces are kept together.
There is a washing machine in the utility cupboard in the apartment hallway. It is advised not to use it if also using oven, hob, kettle etc as in some properties having too many electrical items on at the same time can cause the power to trip.
Select the desired programme then press “Depart/Pause” to start the cycle.
Translation:
There is a balcony with sofa style chairs available for use, please ensure the cushions are undercover when not in use to avoid weather damage.
It is your responsibility to make sure the sliding glass door onto the terrace and all the windows are closed and locked when you are not in the property and at the end of your stay.
No smoking on balconies / terrace.
Remove any litter from all exterior areas on departure.
There are electric shutters for the sliding doors in the living area and the master bedroom plus the bedroom window, the switch is on the wall near to them. Press the middle button to activate then the up or down arrow as needed. Pressing the middle button will pause the shutters at any height whilst they are rolling.
